Hello and goodbye readers,
This will be my final blog (for now at least, who knows I might get an urge to take it up again in the future). I must say I have enjoyed the experience, it’s been fun getting to discuss my college and personal goings-on in this medium. I hope I have kept you entertained in these last few weeks, and that you all continue to stay busy in these trying times. Don’t do what I did and sit in direct line of the sun without sunscreen on, resulting in a quite irritating sunburn. Enjoy the weather sensibly.
I’ve been developing my website over the last few days, titled From Seed To Stalk. I chose to go with a gardening themed site, that aims to encourage food production at home and inspire a healthier lifestyle. Planting flowers is also encouraged. I myself, as some of you know, have started my own greenhouse in the last few weeks. I’m going to take some pictures of some of my seedlings (which I’m very proud of) to use on the website.
I’ve found it to be a really enjoyable exercise to do. The ability to have creative liberty over a project is always fun, and it’s a nice break from the monotony of quarantine. I was a bit worried that I wouldn’t know how to edit the website, but I feel it’s really taken shape. I had been using Google Sites but my attempts with it looked horrendous, so I switched to using WordPress, which I found much easier to use. I hope my efforts pay off and From Seed To Stalk resembles a website that can inspire a love of gardening.
It’s farewell for now, I’m afraid. We’ll hopefully be somewhat free from isolation in a few weeks. Stay safe.
Alison
